ARMY WEST POINT Club Hockey  competes in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) as a member of the Division II Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Hockey (MACH) League. A club recognized by the U.S. Military Academy (USMA) Directorate of Cadet Activities (DCA), its mission is to provide an arena for cadets to develop themselves physically, mentally, and interpersonally through the sport of hockey. The team receives and appreciates assistance from the USMA Superintendent's and Parent's Funds, through donations from graduates, parents, and USMA supporters.

meet the cadets

USMA cadet-athletes comprise the ARMY WEST POINT Club Hockey team. All cadets must meet rigorous academic, military, and physical standards. Cadet team members originate from 15 states and played at High School Varsity, Midget Major AA, AAA, and Major Junior levels. Cadets who matriculate successfully from the USMA are commissioned as 2nd Lieutenants in the U.S. Army with an active duty commitment. If you are interested in attending USMA and joining one of the most successful ACHA DII teams in the country, visit our Prospects page.

navy completes comeback

The Cadets came out lack luster against a fast and strong Navy team. Despite this, Senior Captain Rob Fenton stood strong in net turning away 14 of 15 shots in the first period. Army netted three goals against a shaky Navy tender, but it wouldn't last. Despite making it 4-1 at the beginning of the 2nd period, Navy closed the gap and entered the 3rd down 4-3. Navy kept the momentum, pounding the Army net, and made it a 6-4 game as the third period winded down. A late goal by Army made it 6-5, but even with the net empty Army came up short.
